The design concept for the hallway explores the idea of UNITY through the harmonious integration of natural elements with a structural framework. The use of metal wires in a diagonal grid pattern serves as the foundational structure, symbolizing order and stability. These wires, carefully arranged to crisscross and interlace, create a visually intriguing framework that supports the growth of vegetation. Vegetation, representing the organic and ever-changing aspects of nature, is allowed to grow over the grid in a controlled manner. The plants, characterized by their veiny leaves and vibrant flowers, symbolize life, growth, and the interconnectedness of all living things. As the plants climb and weave through the wires, they create a living tapestry. From the OUTSIDE, the hallway appears as a lush green corridor, blending with the surrounding environment and inviting exploration. The beauty of the vegetation creates a sense of tranquility and connection to nature, enhancing the overall aesthetic of the space. INSIDE the hallway, the intricate relationship between the plants and the wires is revealed. The plants use the wires as a SUPPORT structure, climbing and twisting naturally yet purposefully while the people use the plants as SHADE. The roots, visible through the grid, symbolize the hidden strength and resilience that lies beneath the surface, further emphasizing the concept of unity between the natural and the man-made. Through this design, unity is achieved by seamlessly integrating the structural elements with the organic, creating a space that is not only visually striking but also deeply meaningful. The hallway becomes more than just a passage; it becomes a living, breathing embodiment of unity in diversity.
