This Is The Very First Project That Was Done In Semester 1 Of The Course Bachelor Of Arts In Architectural Design. Project 1 (Self-Expression Through Object “Representing Me”) Introduces Basic Understanding Of The Design Processes And Approaches In Generating Ideas Formulating Conceptual Narratives, Developing Design And Translating It Into Form Design.
Concept
“The Inspiration Came From The Structure Of An Atom Where The Atoms Electron Orbit Around The Nucleus. This Movement Is Shown With Limitations Or Restrictions In A Form Of A Box. This Box Is Shown To Be Partially Broken To Express That I Am Trying To Go Beyond My Limits. The Wires Represent My Lifestyle And My Way Of Life. The Wires Inside The Box Would Be Straight And Parallel To Show My Restrictions While The Wires Coming Out Are Joined And Some Hang Freely To Express My Creativity And My Freedom.”

Making Of Mock Models

These models were made using paper and metal
wires. They were made to explore different ideas
and to select which ones looks better.
Making Of The Final Model

First wood was used
to make
a box to represent the
restrictions.

Next openings were
made to represent me
free from my
limitations.

Next wires were inserted
into the wooden box.

Finally the wires were
connected around and
some wires were left to
hang freely.
